Within the project organized on the NATO Strategic Concept 2010 “Post-Lisbon: New NATO for the New Era – Strategic Concept 2010” the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia  organized a NATO SUMMIT STUDENT simulation for the students at the universities in the Republic of Macedonia.
The event of this type was organized for the first time in the country and aims to become a traditional event of the EACM and the Youth of the EACM.

The simulation was of very highly educational character because it offered the students close and in-depth knowledge for the issues of NATO, security and international politics.
Participants meeting in the format of the North Atlantic Council at the level of Heads of States and Governments discussed on different areas on security policy of NATO and aspects that should be included in the future work and missions of NATO. The meeting ended with adoption of a Declaration on Security. After the official part of the meeting the participants held a press conference, simulating a press conference of the NATO officials.

Participants to the simulation were students in graduate and postgraduate studies in the areas of legal and political sciences, security and international relations from the state and private universities in the Republic of Macedonia.
Special representatives to the simulation were the YATA President Giuseppe Belardetti and Barbora Maronkova from NATO PDD.
The simulation was held on 11th December 2010 in Skopje.
The event was organized in cooperation with the Netherlands Embassy to Macedonia, NATO Contact Embassy and the NATO HQ to Macedonia.
