Trifun Kostovski was born on 27 December 1946 in Skopje, S Macedonia. He is a Macedonian politician, businessman and singer, and the ex-Mayor of Skopje. He is married with three children. He has graduated at the Faculty of Economics, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. He is fluent in English, Polish, Russian and Serbo-Croatian. Also he was Financing and supporting great number of NGOs, hospitals and social institutions, humanitarian and voluntary activities, aids to disabled, financial support for the poor people, donations for operations and treatment of sick people.

During his professional and personal life he was awarded with series of awards and achievements such as:
Awarded by the state prize “Mother Theresa” for humanity (26 Aug. 2014); Appreciation by (IVZ) Islamic Religious Union in Debar region, regarding many donations for construction and restoration of Islamic religious objects ( Oct. 2013); “St. Naum cross” of appreciation in the sphere of donations, awarded by the Macedonian Orthodox Church. (2011); Founder of "Trifun Kostovski" Fund within the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts. The Fund sponsors editions, publications, scientific projects, and collections of fine arts of national importance; President and sponsor of the football club FK Vardar; Founder and financier of several media houses in Macedonia.
