On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the formation of the Alliance and when the Republic of North Macedonia is on its way to becomе the 30th member state of NATO, ATA Macedonia, in cooperation with its partners, organized and joined a series of events aimed at celebrating the NATO anniversary, as well as informing and familiarizing the wider public with the goals and values of the Alliance.

The NATO week started with the organization of a diplomatic discussion entitled "The Road to Brussels", organized by ATA Macedonia, the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia (NATO Contact Embassy) and the Ministry of Defense of North Macedonia. The event was held in the Ceremonial Hall of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, on April 3, 2019, starting at 12:00.

The purpose of the event was to send a strong message to NATO member states, to complete legal procedures as soon as possible and to ratify the NATO membership protocol, but also to introduce the wider public and the media with the country's development and progress in the past year in terms of NATO membership.

The keynote address was given by the President of ATA Macedonia, Mr. Ismet Ramadani and, President of the Government, Mr. Zoran Zaev, Deputy Prime Minister / Minister of Defense, Ms. Sekerinska Jankovska and H.E. Prof. Dr. Milan Jazbec, Ambassador, Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia (as a host of the event).

During the second part, a diplomatic discussion followed where all Ambassadors of the NATO member states in the Republic of North Macedonia and the Head of the NATO Liaison Office in Skopje, Colonel Zoran Jankovic, took part.

A competition for best essay on the topic "NATO and I" was also organized by the Ministry of Defense and the Military Academy in Skopje in cooperation with ATA Macedonia and was intended for high school students from the high schools based in North Macedonia. The first-ranked essays were presented on the one of the open days organized in the City Park in Skopje, on April 7, 2019. The best three essays will be rewarded with an organized visit to NATO Headquarters under the auspices of the Minister of Defense, Ms. Radmila Sekerinska Jankovska and NATO.

On the occasion of the NATO week on April 6, NATO - Athletic Race, organized by the Ministry of Defense, the Army, ATA Macedonia and the Athletic Federation, was held in the City Park.

260 competitors ran on the track of three and five kilometers. Together with the citizens, the Minister of Defense, Ms. Radmila Sekerinska, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, General Vasko Gjurcinovski, the Euro-Ambassador Samuel Zbogar, the Head of the NATO Office in Skopje, Colonel Jankovic, members of the Army and the Ministry of Defense participated in the race. The best three participants from the 3 rd and 5 km race will be rewarded with participation in an international marathon outside the country.

In addition, within the framework of NATO Week, a museum exhibition entitled "70 years of NATO and the Republic of Northern Macedonia, a 30th member of the Alliance" was set up at the Military Museum in Skopje, a panel discussion on the topic "70 years of NATO - success due to ready for change ", a joint concert of the military orchestras of the armies of Northern Macedonia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Greece and Slovenia, and open days in Skopje, Prilep and Kumanovo were also organized.

Representatives of ATA Macedonia attended a cocktail organized by the NATO Liaison Office in Skopje, which also marked the 70th anniversary of the formation of the Alliance.
