Dr. Babst, together with Mr. Elenovski had a meeting with the Minister of Defence in the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Fatmir Besimi.
At the meeting, organized upon a request by the EACM, the Minister welcomed the initiative and informed Dr. Babst on the percentage of women engaged in the Macedonian Army and Ministry of Defence, adding that efforts were being made to increase the percentage of the representation of women in the army and in peace missions. During the meeting, Mr. Elenovski urged a National Action Plan on the implementation of the UNSCR 1325 to be adopted in due time, which is from great importance for Macedonia.
