Reaffirming the strong commitment to the Euro-Atlantic ideas and values,

And the steadfast determination of the Republic of Macedonia for NATO membership,

Having in regard the present risks and threats, the changes affecting the international relations and the forthcoming NATO Summit in United Kingdom,

Reaffirming the full preparedness of the Republic of Macedonia for undertaking the obligations and responsibilities resulting of the future NATO membership,

Supporting all the Declarations issued by the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia for affirmation and realization of the strategic objective for NATO membership,

We issue the following

Declaration
Of support of the initiative for admission of the Republic of Macedonia to NATO

  1. 1.The members of the Republic of Macedonia into NATO is a long-standing strategic priority of the country supported by the majority of citizens of the Republic of Macedonia;
     
    2. Having in regard the present situation in the world and the growing number of risks, we are again faced with the need of NATO and the full-fledged membership as a key factor for peace, stability and regional development;
  2. 3. Supporting the consistent encouragement from the partner organizations of the Atlantic Treaty Association (ATA), the initiative of group of senators in USA and the public support given by the former NATO Secretary General, Lord George Robertson;
  3. 4. EACM aligns to the call for admission of the Republic of Macedonia into NATO on the forthcoming NATO Summit that will take place in United Kingdom, thus providing enduring peace in the region and beyond;
  4. 5. EACM appeals to the state bodies, as well as to all political parties, stakeholders and NGOs to continue their active inclusion in finding the most appropriate manner for fast admission of the Republic of Macedonia into NATO;
  5. 6. In the future period, EACM will use its disposable capacity in line of accomplishing the strategic goal of the Republic of Macedonia – full-fledged NATO membership;
  6. 7. This Declaration shall be submitted to the Secretariat of the Atlantic Treaty Association (ATA), every national ATA chapter and all NATO Embassies to the Republic of Macedonia.
