In the period from 1st to 13th June 2014, in Ohrid was held seminar entitled “Managing Defence in the Wider Security Context” in organization of the British Embassy and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Macedonia. The educational part was implemented by professors from the British university “Cranfield”, which is part from the defence educational system in the United Kingdom.



On this seminar there was broad spectrum of participant profiles connected to the defence: Army, Ministries of Defence, Finances, Government, Non governmental sector and medias. Also, this seminar had regional character with participants from Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo.



Representative from EACM on this seminar was Jordan Tasev. Through participation in the workshops and panels he had active contribution to the seminar. On the end he gave a statement to the media: “The seminar is complementary to the goals we have for NATO and EU integration, how Macedonia should treat the security in wider aspect. It was especially pleasure that on the course there was broad spectrum of profiles, defence, government, ngo’s. There was big contribution from our colleagues from the region. Everything we learned is from highest quality and learned from British experience and is applicable and I hope that everyone of us will apply in the institution where they come from”.
