From 11 December – 13 December 2012 the Euro- Atlantic Council of Macedonia is organizing regional conference entitled:

“Regional Post – ISAF engagement - Lessons learned and a legacy for A-5 countries future expeditionary missions”

This regional conference will take place in Hotel Stone Bridge, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia.

This inspiring topic will bring together NATO officials, government officials, NGOs representatives, research fellows, academia and think-tank community representatives to share their ideas and view on the topic related issues. The conference will gather more than 20 participants, coming from Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro.

The regional conference is important for the region and will be in light of the different regional capacities and capabilities in the field of the post conflict engagement that the countries from the Western Balkans have, or are planning to develop. This conference will provide the public with the necessary information and add value to the work that has been done, and in the same time, it will provide governments and militaries with essential information and recommendations for their future work in the field.

The conference opening, which will take place in Hotel ‘Stone Bridge’’ Skopje on 12 December 2012, will be attended by Mr. Fatmir Besimi, Minister for Defence of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Nicholas Williams, NATO Head of Section and H.E. Paul D. Wohlers, U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Macedonia.

The project is supported from the NATO Public Diplomacy Division and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Republic of Macedonia.
