Euro-Atlantic Council of North Macedonia guided by the great interest and success of the first two "NATO Academies", but also as a confirmation of the general interest in youth projects and activities of this character, this year is organizing The 3rd NATO Academy 2022.

The academy was officially opened through a study visit of over 30 young people to the office of the President, Dr. Stevo Pendarovski and Villa Vodno.

President Pendarovski introduced the students of the academy to his powers and responsibilities and they had the chance to discuss the latest security challenges and foreign policy in the context of our European integration. The President referred to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the security of the Euro-Atlantic region, reaffirming the support of the Republic of North Macedonia for Ukraine.

According to President Pendarovski, the NATO Alliance enables us to exchange information and communications on modern security threats, as well as to respond in a timely manner and prepare for dealing with security challenges.

Thanks to the openness for discussion of President Pendarovski, the informal discussion lasted more than an hour and a half.

The participants of the Third NATO Academy 2022 during the visit to the Presidential Cabinet were present in the premises where the official and working meetings are held, as well as in the halls for ceremonies, meetings, events and press conferences. Participants were also introduced to the history of the building in which the Cabinet is located, as well as the manner of its functioning.

The main goal of the Third NATO Academy is through education to strengthen reforms and the legal framework in the field of security and defense in the long run, as well as to create a platform for education, debate and discussion.
